1. The authority to represent someone else, especially in voting.
We may be too young to vote, but we’re fired up.
We’re marching and phone-banking and registering new voters in huge numbers.
But the big question is: will new voters turn up at the ballot box? They say they will, but talk is cheap. Only votes count. So we’re rolling out The Proxy Project. It’s a powerful new Get Out The Vote tool that helps us partner with new or infrequent voters who promise to be our proxies–and show up to vote
on November 6th.
The message is simple: I can’t vote, but you can. Do it for me, because I can’t wait. The environment can’t wait. Immigrants can’t wait. Gun law reform can’t wait. We’re talking the power of a simple one-to-one connection.
One voting partnership. One pledge. One vote.
Make sure your proxy is properly registered, informed and prepared to vote.
After your Proxy votes, come back here and download an “I Proxed the Vote” profile frame for social media!
Work with your “Activator” to formulate a voting plan. Be sure you’re registered!
Cast your ballot in the midterms and inform your “Activator” with an “I Voted” selfie.
Return here to record your promise kept. Download an “I Proxed The Vote” profile frame and spread the word on social media.
